I live in Louisiana and I'm not surprised whatsoever. It's crazy around here. Seems LA is the new Mississippi. My family (interracial - I'm white, hubby is black, and we have five children) is from south Mississippi and we've never seen it (racism/prejudice) as blatantly as we have in Louisiana. Sick.

I let them use my bathroom. Who says that?! I'm just glad it wasn't up to him or anyone like him to decide if it would be acceptable for my husband and I to get married. As for biracial children, I don't want anyone like that anywhere near any of my children. I just recently, at the advice of a friend, started thinking about how I'm going to handle it when it happens... and she informs me that it, unfortunately, will happen.

"I even let them use my bathroom" ?? Now that's classic! Well that right there just proves he's a good ole' boy now doesn't it LOL!! Looks like he wore the right robe, without the hood that day. It seems they give the title of judge to any low life in this town. He should be disbarred, it's 2009 for pete's sake!! I think it's actually sad that such a thing still exists in our world today, but it does. You would think in today's society everyone accepts everyone, but they really don't do they?? People just need to come to grips with the fact that people differ from one another, we are all human after all & that's what makes this world a good one. My husband showed me this article yesterday and my mouth hit the floor. I just loved when he proved he WASN'T a racist when he stated,"I even let them use my bathroom" What an idiot!!! Its unfortunate but hate has a way of surviving through the ages.

I'm just shocked that this is the first we've heard of this delightful humanitarian because according to the article, this is not the first interracial couple that he has denied to marry. Makes me wonder!
