I have one blog giveaway that should have been wrapped up yesterday. I have three reviews that I need to write and post, but do you know what I did tonight instead? I made these adorable little rose!
My elderly neighbor next door had a sewing machine that she doesn't use anymore. I think she upgrade to a better one. She gave me her old one because she knows I have "youngins" as she referred to my boys. I've never been much into sewing. I took lessons my last year of high school and never touched a sewing machine again. But now-a-days having a machine around to do minor mends comes in handy, therefore I gratefully accepted the gift.
Anyway, these pretty little roses were completely upcycled from some bridesmaid dresses I was going to give away. I'm going to try to make other types of flowers - maybe a Peony or Chrysanthemum. I'm shooting for a whole bouquet. I think they'll make a lovely center piece to put somewhere in my very bare apartment.
They were loads of fun to make. I'm trying to find a way to put them on a headband or clippie. Anyone know how?

Oh those are just the cutest! I can't blame you for making those instead of working. :)
I hear you on the back-up of posts to write!
That is so creative! Your apartment will smile right back at you.
Enjoy the weekend my friend.
Girl I'm just impressed that you have post in draft. That's leaps and bounds on what I do. Yeah, I wouldn't call myself organized by any stretch of the word.
And can I say...love,love, love the cutie flowers. I have a sewing machine and you've inspired me to take a long look at it. Maybe one day I'll actually plug it in.....
WHat gorgeous flowers! Well done you and how great of your neighbour to give you the sewing machine :)
