Stroller License
The Hubster's dad and his girlfriend are coming to town next weekend for a few days. His Dad is so excited to see Lil One for the first time. His Dad never really got a lot of bonding time with his daughter's (Hubster's sister) son so he really wants to get that opportunity with Lil One.
For the past week he's been calling daily, excited, but nervous about what he needs to do for the baby or what he needs to bring him. We've reassured him time and again that we don't have expectations for him as a grandparent and neither is he required to bring anything. We are just thrilled that he is coming all the way from Oregon to spend time with Lil One and his presence alone is enough.
Still he is concerned and asks our permission and opinion about everything. Last night he called to see if it would be okay if he bought Lil One a stroller because he'd like to take him on strolls around our complex. The Hubster decided to play ornery and started ho-humming about how I am picky about the baby's safety and that he would need to run it by me first. Nice, dear Hubster. *insert sarcasism*
Continuing in his ornery game he looked at me and asked "Dear do you think it would be okay if Dad takes Lil One on stroller rides? I know how picky you can be". I, of course, gave him that look that said "Stop messing with your Dad!"
The Hubster then tells his Dad that I said that he needs to have a stroller license before it will be okay. The Hubster went into this long speech on what he needs to do to get this license. I could tell by the way that the Hubster was talking that his Dad was taking what he said seriously.
Eventually, I took the phone from the Hubster to save his Dad from the Hubster's comical playing. It was a good thing I did, because his Dad truly had taken him seriously.
What am I going to do with this husband of mine!?! LOL

Sounds like Lil One is going to have a rip roaring time with Grandpa! Grandparents are such a blessing.

Oh that is sooo funny! Bless his heart! I hope you have a fabulous time with him!
Omgosh lol He sounds like MY husband!
You guys have a great time! Tell us all about it!
That is so sweet that grandpa is so excited! Be sure to get lots of 3 generation pictures of your handsome guys :)
I co-sign with Yolanda. Get lots of pics and be sure to make this a memorable time together.
I read recently about time capsules. That would be a great activity for all the men to share in! ;)
It seems Grandpa is anticipating the bonding very much.
Have a wonderful time.
By the way, I encourage a "stroller license." Girl, I'm crazy protective!
lol! some people really do need a license though.
That's funny. I was thinking like Tania...some people really need it.
