Why I Love Me Some Him!
Plain and simple I love the Hubster. I could write a long post about how he's the best provider (which he is!), how terribly committed he is to his family (which he is!), how he's my best friend (which he is!), how incredibly loving & supportive he is (which he is!), how he's the yin to my yang (which he is!) or how he's one of the kindest people I know (which he is!). But do you know what this man really does for me? He keeps me laughing. The Hubster can have me on the floor laughing out loud with bursts of giggles and he does this while keeping a straight face. No one can do that for me quite like he does.
Last night we were reminiscing about some of the funniest moments in our relationship. One of the memories that came to mind was when he first met my son. Lil Man was about 4 1/2. As you've heard me say before, he is very friendly and personable. However, I was very concerned about his reaction to the Hubster (then boyfriend).
On the day the Hubster met Lil Man he picked us up and we went for a bite to eat and then to a movie of Lil Man's choice. Everything was progressing smoothly. Lil Man seemed fine throughout dinner and the movie. When the Hubster was taking us back home I noticed that Lil Man had gotten really quiet. I assumed he was tired.
Then out of nowhere he asked the Hubster, "Is this your car?"
The Hubster looked at me puzzled. I just shrugged my shoulders because I wasn't sure where the question was coming from. The Hubster replied that the car was his.
Lil Man: "Does it transforms?"
The Hubster again looked at me with a puzzled expression and answered, "Uh yeah. It transforms."
I looked back at Lil Man and I could see his eyes had widen in amazement at hearing the car transformed.
Lil Man: "Wow! That is so cool! This car transforms?! I've never seen a car transform before. What does it transform into?"
The Hubster: "Well it depends on what day of the week it is. It transforms into different things."
Lil Man: "Serious??? Man that is soooo cool! Does it transform into a monster truck?"
The Hubster: "Only on Thursdays. On Saturdays it transforms into a rocket ship. Every second Sunday of the month it transforms into a submarine. The last Friday of the month it transforms into a super sonic jet."
Lil Man's eyes were about to burst out of his head he was so impressed. I could just see the wheels turning in his head as he tried to process the information. He tried to regurgitate it, but got all confused. The Hubster told Lil Man to listen very carefully as he reviewed the info, deliberately mixing up the days and vehicles his car transformed into, thus causing Lil Man more confusion. But Lil Man was so impressed with the car transforming he tried so incredibly hard to get it right.
I was in the front seat nearly busting a gut trying not to laugh. Aren't I terrible? I should have told the Hubster to leave the poor child alone and stop confusing him with nonsense. It was too funny!

lol that's great!
I'm with ya.. having a man that keeps me laughing is seriously important. When the world is gloomy you need to know that inside your home you will always have someone there waiting to make you smile!
Hehehe! that was cute.

I would be the most bored person in the world without my Prince Charming. Thanks for the reminder of why I keep him around! :)
Awww, that's funny
That's funny. We love a man with a sense of humor.
So sweet. I can relate to that passion. Happy for you.
Ah nice. I was all into the car that transforms too! hehehehe..... I know what you mean. Sometimes I forget all the wonderful things about my husband also. Especially now that everything annoys me. Oh I feel so ashamed
Every woman should be as elated about her man as you are. ;) Fan the flames!
I simply adore that instead of taking the adult route to say it didn't transform, the hubster then boyfriend, decided to come along side the imagination of a 4 1/2 year old and go with it. Brilliant!
I bet Lil Man was looking for a connection and he found it. So glad the laughing has continued.
My husband has the talent of funny also. It's one of the many good traits about him. Boy, sometimes after a good chuckle together I remember all the crying I did before him, and end with a smile because of how blessed I am.
