Just When We Thought We'd Never See The Sun
A ray of sunlight timidly peeked it's head around some gloomy clouds this morning! Hooray! We were all going quite stir crazy being cooped up inside for the past two days. It rained and it rained. Lightning struck an old rotting tree and thunder made the ground move beneath us. The wind blew and the long branches of the tree outside our living room crashed against the window pane. With every vibration we were filled with fear that the branches might break through into our home.
Yesterday, the ever-so brave Hubster went out into the pouring rain and tried to trim some of the young twigs in hopes of lessening the chances of the window panes being destroyed. He ended up soaked and bruised from the wind blowing the branches into him. Unfortunately few branches got cut down.
The sunlight was such a welcome sight I quickly jumped out of bed and turned on the t.v. The anchor announced that schools were open so I ran to get Lil Man out of bed. The normally slow to rise son of mine sprang from his bed excited that he could go to school. Monday was supposed to be the first day of school but that never happened due to Ms tropical storm Fay's untimely appearance.
I got Lil Man off to school and he was happy to see that 4 of his kindy classmates are in his class. After some pictures and kisses goodbye off I went to run some much needed errands. I usually gripe and moan about how hot the sun is, but not today! It couldn't have come too soon in my opinion.

Fay is over my in-laws on the northeast coast right now. Funny how this storm is just wandering all over Florida!
Glad the sun finally came out.
lol at lil man! I know he was ready to get back to school!
The storms can be brutal in Florida. You should have been here the other night for a monsoon. Girl, I was covering this place and my family all up in prayer. Praise Him!
