This baby boy of mine has been such an amazing addition to our family! I still remember the events of his birth like it was yesterday and to think it's been 7 whole months since then? WOW! Time sure flies when you are having a blast.
So what's up with Lil One you ask? EVERYTHING! So much of his personality is showing and it's cute, funny, adorable and sometime very stubborn. He is so determine. When he sets his mind on something, ya better step out of the way because he's going to get it done at any cost. Yeah, he takes after his Papa in that regard...hehehehe
He's practically sitting by himself. He'll sit for a long time by unassisted and will even catch himself when he's about to fall over. He has to be completely distracted with something in front of him, because the minute he realizes he's not being supported he'll throw himself back as if to say "You can't fool me, someone better be holding me up!"
He loves to eat! Oh-Oh, and the crazy thing is he prefers water over juice! He loves the water ice cold. I think all the reservoirs of ice water I downed while I was preggo with him must have something to do with it. (I shamefully admit I had something to do with the water shortage of this here state.) He much prefers fresh food over the bottled food. I've enjoyed making up different mixes of veggies and fruit for him to eat. His favs are sweet potato w/ carrots, sweet corn w/ potatoes, rice cereal w/ applesauce or pear sauce or mango sauce, and potatoes w/ chicken. I mix and match the veggies and chicken as he's really not too picky about how I use them.
You all know just how vocal my chubby hubby is. Now he's taken it a bit farther and he actually says Ma-ma-ma, Da-da-da and Ba-ba-ba very clearly. He knows exactly who he's calling when he speaks his syllables. I think he tells me off sometimes. For instance, when he's really hungry and I make him wait just a moment too long, he'll break out into "Ma-ma-ma" along with some other gibberish. It's as if he's saying "Mama, how dare you make me wait! Can't you see this baby is starving!" lol I just love this baby so much! We can't get enough of him and he knows it. I should be ashamed to say he's a little spoiled, but I'm not. I'll probably regret those words when he hits the terrible twos.
I have to send a shout-out to one of my favorite bloggers, Believer 1964 at Growing with Julia for all the wonderful recommendations on baby products. B-64 you ROCK, girlfriend! Here's a little something to put a smile on your face.

He sounds like he's really showing his little personality. I love watching them grow into themselves... but it's always bitter sweet for me. I just always miss my sweet newborn I guess.

Oh that video? The cuteness just really overfloweth Ana!!
What a cutie. I'm glad you're not having trouble giving veggies with Little One. Matt loves vegs too -and fish and rice.
Sorry haven't been here in awhile. We just checked out from the hosp last Monday. As I've written at Verb, I just kept my blogs alive with schedules posts which were made in advance.
Thanks for the shout out, and you know I'm SMILING BIG! :D
You better put that boy in a commercial!
On another note, if only I fed my daughter mashed up real food as a baby I bet her food selection would be better balanced as a preschooler.
Keep doin' your thing mama!
He's so precious. Time really does fly when they are little. Before you know it you have a little toddler running laps around you...lol.
My little ones all loved water too. I really think it had something to do with me whoofing down bottles of water myself and no to mention it's what we drink as a family most of the time.
