Deep Thoughts By A 6 Year Old
1)
Lil Man: Ma, does a ball roll down a slide or slide down a slide?
Me: I guess you would say it does both.
Lil Man: No. It only rolls. Round objects roll and objects with flat sides like rectangles, triangles and squares, slide.
***
2)
Lil Man: All the colours in the rainbow mixed together make what colour?
Me: Black
Lil Man: If you take away all the colours in the rainbow what colour do you have?
Me: White
Lil Man: No. If you take away something then you don't have it anymore. Just like when you subtract. So if you take away all the colours you have NO color.
***
3)
Lil Man: Ma, when clouds hit each other they cause the thunder. What cause lightning?
Me: Ummmm (paranoid to answer by this time because I've been wrong every time) maybe electricity in the sky. Ummm. I don't know.
Lil Man: Friction from the clouds. When two things rub against each other and get hot they cause sparks. Just like when Bear Grylls rubbed the sticks together and caused fire.

You were set up, I love it! Your son was really paying attention in school, good job!
Oh have you got your hands full with that little smarty man! He is amazing. Kudos, Mama!
Hahaha! he's too smart!
He is so insightful! You are doing a great job!
He's quizzing mom!
I get this in smaller doses and from the knowledge of an almost four year old. I just can't wait until she's his age.
By the way, I must "roll" down the slide because I don't have a flat bottom! ;)
