Memorial Day Tribute
This day has special significance to our family as my husband is a Desert Storm and Iraqi war veteran. It's a particularly hard day for him as he's seen some of the most horrific tragedies that no man should ever have to witness. What pains him the most is the fact that so many of his friends were killed right before his eyes. In some instances it was only a matter of luck that it wasn't him who was killed. Although, he sustained a bad neck injury that nearly took his life, he is still here and very thankful for having survived.
In the past he battled greatly the guilt of "why did I survive and they didn't". Today he feels honor and pride to have been able to service his country. Moreover, he is grateful he lived to be able to experience the joys of fatherhood and have a family. Two things he thought he'd never experience while he was serving in Iraqi. To all who has serviced and to their families GOD BLESS YOU and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
May we never forget our fallen soldiers.

Amen to everything! To your Hubbie and SO many others (And their families) we are forever grateful!
Wow. That must be a heavy burden for your Husband to bear. A huge "thank you" to him too!
Saluting your husband for his service!
My deepest thanks to your husband and all who have served with dignity.
