Eco-friendly tip #4: Use Less Water When You Flush
Put a 1-liter plastic bottle full of water (smaller sizes can float) inside your toilet's water tank. Then, each time you flush, instead of using 6 liters you will use only 5 liters.

This tip is also a money-saver for those of us who have to pay for every drop of water used!
That's a great tip.
I heard that a milk carton with the top cut off works just as well. Thanks for reminding me of this. Gonna set it up as soon as I get an empty carton.
I'll be sharing this with my husband. Thanks!
Another way to save water (might sound gross) is if you are home alone for much of the day as I am, do not flush every time. I can go tinkle a couple times before having to flush. Nobody is going into my bathroom anyway right?! OK I am embarrassed now!
