Back from My Paradise Vacation!
Yes siree this lil Mama went on VACA! There was succulent food. Sweet tangy fruit drinks. Smooth jazz. Light salty breezes. Warm bubbly waters. And only candlelights for lighting. Equipped with a book in hand, fluffy tweetie bird slippers and my most comfy bathrobe I set off for a paradise adventure.
For 2 uninterrupted hours on Tuesday, March 18, I enjoyed some much needed "me" time. The hubster took Lil One out on their first outing sans Mama. Lil Man was in school, so the apartment was all mine. It's amazing what a little alone time can do to pick up the spirits and rejuvenate the soul. While relaxing in a bubble bath, I munched on fruit, sipped on passion fruit cocktail, listened to some music and read a book. Can you say refreshing! Awwwww....paradise...!
[Daddy and baby did very well on their outing together. I did have the cell outside the tub and was tempted a few times to check up on them, but resisted. I was so proud of the hubster handling Lil One alone. He said that a few women came up to him and told him how nice it was to see a Dad out with a baby so young. I was glad to see them come back, because you know how it is to be a Mama; just like hens we want our little chick close.]
What do you do to get yourself out of a funk or to get your "me" time on?

I do EXACTLY what you did for yours as my own escape so I can TOTALLY relate to everything you described! :) I feel like I could use one of those vaca's right now!
When it's not possible, I'll retreat to lunch and a movie by myself. :)

I thought you were on an actual island. :D You tricked me!
Girl, I need a VACA! Last time I tried to get a bubble bath on my daughter was asking to join me over the gate while hubby was yelling for her through the house. Don't let me go there!
Your place looks great! Did you pay for this look?
If I cant go on a real vacation, a trip to the spa for a massage seems to do the trick for me. I always seem to fall asleep on the massage table and wake relaxed.
I do exactly what you do, and the spa too. I need a vaca right now. I think after the baby is born I will just melt away in the tub with bubbles and candles all around me.
ANA? I LOVE your new blog design. It is FANTAB!
LOVE IT.
Glad you enjoyed your time! How awesome to get. We had a vacation and it was nice to get a change of scenery.
I love this look for your site!
I like to go shopping. Either that, if Mr. P is gone at school and I have nothing to do, I will rock out to some music, totally blast it.
Wow! THAT is amazing. You hubster -the term makes me giggle - is a sweet man. Happy Easter!
