Sometimes when I watch Lil Man I wonder if he gets anything we tell him. Is he listening? Does he even hear us when we speak to him? Sometimes I really wonder... He'll look at us with his big almond shaped eyes and it seems like his mind is a million miles away. I love this kid beyond words, but he can work a nerve with how easily distracted he is.

Tuesday hubby and Lil Man were packing up the porch and throwing away items we won't take with us on our move. Our neighbor saw them disposing of some things and asked to keep them for his porch. Hubby sent Lil Man to give the neighbor the items he asked for. Later that day hubby as telling me what the neighbor said to him about Lil Man. He said it's been a long time since a child addressed him with "yes sir" or "no sir" and was so polite. He praised us for the good job we are doing in raising him. It made me smile!

And then hubby said this is what Lil Man exclaimed to the neighbor,

"Oh I have to be polite cause my Mom has eyes behind her head. She'll hunt me down if I don't."

Oh boy, this silly kid of mine! lol All I could do was gasp. Well at least I know he's listening when we talk to him.
